July 14, 2001 and July 15, 2001 Saturday afternoon Jon and I did the Dauphin Narrows. We put in at Al Sutton's place in Dauphin. We paddled over to the Statue of Liberty and then down through some narrow passages. After passing through the rocks we worked our way along the lower side of the rocks to the other side of the river and played in various chutes and waves. I mananaged to turn over my Pungo and sink during this time. We then worked our way back upriver around and through the ledges to take out at the same place we put in at. Sunday Jim, Diana, Susan, Doug and Jim paddled from Duncannon to Marysville. Everyone made it past the Dauphin Narrows without tipping over.
